HMS RoboHawks Move Onto State Competition
Congratulations to the HMS RoboHawks for their performance at the Regional competition on Saturday, December 3, that earned them a spot at the State competition in January! The team won the "Inspiration Award" in only the second year of the program. They won the Inspiration Award for the way they worked together as a team and for representing the core values of the FLL competition. (Sounds like Montessori at work!) Harbor Montessori was the only team from Gig Harbor that earned a bid to the State competition! Many thanks go to HMS alumni, Parker Olive, who started the RoboHawks after he was so successful in the SOTA Robotics program. Thank you's also go to the other coaches, David Olive, Susan Olive and Andrew Wild. This year's RoboHawks include Gaelan Steele, Hayden Lupenski, Evan Asche, Ryan Asche, Daniel Hayes, Matthew Hayes, Matthew Wild and Owen Wild. We wish the team good luck at the State competition!
